Technology is very important in our lives. We can use it to do everything around us. With all the technology we can work and have fun because, for example, with a computer and internet we: talk to people, play games, do shopping, home banking, travel around the world and of course work. Nowadays everything works related to technology, and each day we feel more attracted to learn and explore these tools because they make our lives easier.
I THINK THAT THE TECNOLOGIC IS VERY IMPORTANT ABOVE ALL THE FUTURE.IN FACT IN THIS PERIOD, WHEN THE WORLD IS FACING TO AN INTERNATIONAL CRISIS,MANY LIFE'S INSTRUMENTS ARE PRODUCED BY SCIENCE FOR EXAMPLE COMPUTER, MOBILE PHONE, NEW TELEVISION,ETC. FOR THIS THAT I AGREE TO BUILD MANY SCIENTIFIC LABORATORIES AND RESEARCH CENTRE THAT ARE ALSO IMPORTANT FOR STUDENT LIFE'S AFTER UNIVERSITY(IN MY COUNTRY IS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND JOBS). I disagree, because I really can live without technology. Yes, the technology is very important for me, but I can live without it because I use the mobile phone and the computer, but I don't use this things during all the day.If I don't use my mobile during some days, I will not feel nervous. So, it is not an important fact for me.
I think that I can't live without technology because I use it for working,playing,chatting...If the technology existed my life would be more difficult.
Finally I said that the technology is very important,but,if we don't use it with caution,it can be dangerous.:)
I can´t live without technology because ,My lap top is very important for me because it helps me with the works and I talk with my friends and play "the sims 3" I watch the films. The lap top is my best friend.

I agree, and I think that not only me but everyone can't live without technology, because, the technology is very important for humans. I like chatting with my European friends and that it is not possible without technology. My parents don't use it a lot.
I think the technology is unnecesary because the children prefer playing with one ball. But I agree the world needs new technologies to be a better world but they should be used with caution. I really think Facebook could be dangerous sometimes because there are so many information for unknown people.

Hello everyone, It is great to see everyone commenting on this topic. I got a new mobile phone last week and untilit was charged and ready to go, I felt a little bit lost ! Now me and my Ericsson are re-united and all is well in the world!
Well,personally i think that technology is needed alot, because without it you wouldnt be able to do certain things that you would easily now. Also revising for tests, etc would be extremely hard.
I agree with this comment because it is used everyday all over the world for many different reasons. It helps children with their learning and disabilities, people with their jobs and many more. You can also access interesting information you may not have known before. So it is very important
hello ;) i cant live without tecnology because its used in our everyday lives nowadays and we use it all the time to communicate , do most our stuff one , also its important because we grew up in a society were tecnology was already used and still trying to make it better and bigger , and also because it helps us with everything we do , so i think tecnology plays a big part in our lives ;)
yes i do think that technology is important, but also a time-waster.... i remember that my dad took away all the televisions in the house and for a whole month we didn't watch t.v. We use elsctrical appliance 24/7, when i wake up- my dad doesn't wake me up, my phone's clever enough to do it for me - every morning on time. Then i go downstairs to eat food that's been stored in a fridge, then i go to school in a car,at school we use computers and, finally, at home i watch t.v. i know people who's lives are centered around technology, they can't wait to go on msn, chat to friends on their phones and eat food in microwave ovens...
i wasnt quite finshed , also i think most of us take it for granted because if we relate to people in other countries, we see that they dont use alort of that tecnology as we do , from morning to night we use it everyday , for example tecnolgy goes a bit far as using it for brushing our teeth : electric toothbrush, and we waste alort of money on tecnolgy which sometimes doesnt laste for very long but we still use it take for granted. marion age13 barking abbey
Hi, Ermmmm, well i agree and disagree with the comment!x When i was in Turkey for the recent exchange project, their school classrooms were totally different. They had black boards and we have projecters, computers and white boards!x I actaully realised we dont need all of the technology. Now theses days, as there are more generations growing, we are taking technology for granted!x On the other hand, we do need technology to do every day activities!x For example cooking food, communicating with people(inside and outside the country), and many more. As time goes on we are becoming more and more dependent on technology!x
i agree because my world basically resolves around modern day technology as i'm always on my mobile phone/computer talking to my friends. Technology plays a big part in my life as nearly everything i do has some connections with technology if it's not totally about it. I think if technology didn't exist there would be a lot of restrictions such as no IT lessons ETC.

If one morning I woke up and realised that I couldn't watch my TV anymore, I would scream!!! xD it's not just the tv, I mean all the essential things that I use all the time would be gone which would make my life extremely difficult. If you think about it there would be not a lot of hot food!! It's true because now days we use cookers, microwaves, ovens, electrical kettles ect. but if they didn't exsist, I personally wouldn't spend ages cooking food on a fire. So, technology helps us survive! Also, we use technology in our school which makes it easier to learn and to communicate with teachers. Our projector screens help students who have weaker eye sight (like me xD),as the writing we see can be zoomed in. Another thing is that the students can send their class work and homework through emailing system to teachers without the need to see them face to face. This saves a lot of time, and if suddenly we had to go and give the work TO the teacher- I wouldn't really like to do that all the time. My name is Christel and I live in the UK, London. Technology is a big help to everyone and makes life in the world we live today much easier, this is why I agree with the above statement. Technology is there to help me and everyone including teachers and families. It helps me as it wakes me up for school as I use my phone as my alarm. If I didn’t have my phone for this purpose I would wake up extremely late for school and get detentions as well as miss out on education and get my parents in trouble with the government with my punctuality. I also use it for my purpose as it’s my main source of entertainment. When you’re not studying or doing your homework and you want to relax, technology is the main source of entertainment. You can go on social networking sites (facebook, myspace, twitter) on the internet, watch different shows on TV or talk to your friends (texting, instant messaging and phone calls). I have a blackberry and they are one of the most addictive things ever. When my mum took it away for a week, I found that I had nothing much to do with my leisure time as I formed such a strong bond with it, so I slept when there was nothing on TV. This is bad but the truth is I wouldn’t be able to live long with out it. Other than my personal entertainment, technology also helps teachers, workers and students. In school, technology makes learning funnier, easier and more detailed. This is as we use visualises, and computers in almost every lesson. Visualises make the work bigger to read and makes the image larger so the whole class can see it clearly. The internet also helps teachers as they use the internet as a resource to get information from online, show videos and images (youtube/google images), this is better for us students as its more interesting than learning from the book and it makes teachers life easier without having to constantly change their broken markers to write on the white board. If you was to look at your life and count the amount of times you have used anything to do with technology you will realise the number is huge. Without technology, your life will be harder and slower. We take these things for granted and without them for one day we will appreciate their glory. xx
Hello everyone I totally agree with this statement! I think if I didn’t have technology in my life I literally don’t know how I would survive, especially because ive grown up surrounded with more new and advanced technology. Life would be very different if we didn’t have it, many of us take technology for granted as each and every day there are new and advanced ones created, and in these situations we hardly take time to even think about those who are less fortunate and have no access to the many things we have. I personally think that technology plays a huge role in our lives and even though there are many people who don’t have as much as we do. For developing countries they are trying to exceed in the technology to equal to other wealthy countries, like the United Kingdom! Also the technology that we have helps our countries economy, so not only do we benefit from it, so does our country, as we have to pay for it in order to access it. Especially for teenagers our age, technology plays an enormous role, as we have mobile phones, use Facebook, msn to socialise outside of school. I STRONGLY AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT! :]xx
I agree with the statement because I can't live without my technology. Technology is everywhere,in our world! We use so much technology in everyday life, that we take it all for granted. From lightbulbs to laptops, technology is everywhere!
On a weekday, the only reason I manage to wake up on time is due to the technology on my phone; my alarms. Then I go the bathroom to have a shower, which is also a part of technology. Then I go and use the toaster and milk from the fridge, while watching TV; which forms an immense part of my life. Once we are at school, we use computers and projectors constantly! After I get home, I turn my laptop on straight away, and it is always on, even if I am not using it! As well as that I have my TV to watch my favourite TV programmes and my phone for texting and listening to music. Other technology I use are; cars, straightners, DVD players, Nintendo Wii, camera, etc. Overall, technology plays a massive part in my life and I wouldn't be able to survive without it!
Hello everyone :) In my point of view, I agree with the statement above. There are several reasons to why I would agree with this statement and most effect everyday life.
One reason for why I agree with this statement is because through my day I use a number of different technology’s that help me to get by. For example if the 'Phone' wasn’t invented I would have no way of contacting people in different places around the world. If I or anyone else was in a serious emergency and needed to call the police, they would have no way of getting through to them in time to help.
Another reason is that without computers, in lessons it would be much harder to work. If the 'computer' wasn’t invented there would be no way of getting quick information and we would to have to go and find out information on foot. Also there would be ICT lessons. The computer is also another quick way in contacting people, by email. Email is a creation that helps you to send messages to family and friends ECT. Locally and internationally.
There are also some ways the technology has ruined the public. In England technology is a huge part of the public’s everyday life. Now perverts and paedophiles use the internet to track and talk to young girls all over the world. They do this by going on sites like my space and face book.
Overall technology helps the people of the world in everyday life and makes it easier for everyone, and without it our world today would not be the same.
I agree with this statement as I wouldn't be able to survive without technology. Technology is used all around us and sometimes we don't even realise. I can't live without technology. Agree or disagree? Technology has enabled us to do a lot of things and advance our way of life for example we are now able to send messages to people globally without it taking very long we can do this through email. Our society today is depended on technology whether you are in a third world country or not. In some ways technology has made life better but in other ways has destroy our society.
There are advantages of using technology for example we can do things faster, easier and with less labour. Domestic chores now do not take as much time to do because of technology such as, Hoovers, steamer, washing machines. It also helps with things such as cooking, in the Elizabethan times people would have cooked over a fire, whereas now we have ready made meal that only take 2 minutes to make. It has also led to new ways of saving the world e.g. Wind turbines
On the other hand technology has destroyed our society as it has made people lazy for example instead of walking two meters to the shops people go in the car. In some ways technology has destroyed our spoken language as people are now depended on the computer to correct their grammar and spelling leading to worse handwriting. Technology has also resulted in the release of CO2 contributing toward global warming.
In my opinion I don’t think I can live without technology I think it would make my life much harder than it has to be for example having to work 12 miles to school.
Hi! x I agree with the comment as I think that technology is really important. Technology offers us a lot: travel, entertainment, food, communication and loads more. Since our parents in the ancient days technology has expanded a lot, now we get like a million channels on the television. Without technology I wouldn’t be able to survive as I use technology for very basic activities like getting ready e.g. straighters. I think we take technology for granted as we waste it really easily, e.g. lights, leaving the television on standby etc. I use technology every minute whether it’s the electric toothbrush or the microwave to heat up soup. Our school has advanced technology as we rely on projectors, computers and laptops. There may be a difference between our countries use of technology but that’s what make us unique!
Hi! I'm Carol, a 16-year-old student from Spain. I think we can't live without technology. It gives to us everything we need. If we want to know something, we have to look for it on the Internet and, in a few seconds, we will get it. It's perfect for people who don't have enough time to go to a library. Also, it's very comfortable for everybody, so that's the reason why we are getting used to it. It's true that the Internet may be dangerous if we don't use it in a good way, but we only have to be aware and then, we won't be worried about anything. In fact, many people think that technology is Internet, and that's not true. Technology includes computers, mobiles phones, MP3 (or 4, or 5...), cameras, etc. Maybe we can live without them during a week, 2 weeks... a month or two... but, at any time we are going to need them. Society is, partly, based on technology. And we have to be proud of that, because we can communicate with each other by technologies. And I'm glad I can speak to all of you because it's a good way to improve English and, the most important thing is that we can keep a friendship for a long time. I hope we never lose touch; we don't have to do it, Internet gives us an excellent way to communicate :)
I think that technology has a big role in our lives and it find solutions to lots of mankind problems. Just consider our day routine and count all the technological products we use in a day and we will realize the importance of technology. Mobile phones, tv, cars, computers and the Internet are some of the most common products we use everyday and, even if we are getting dependent on technology, they changed our lives in a better way. For example, with mobile phones we can call people from every place in the world, without using telephone boxes, and with a computer we can chat with people from all over the world and we can see them too, thanks to webcams, and information can be sent to the whole world in few seconds and aren’t necessary lots of days as in the past. So, Internet helped a lot in the transmission of information and also in the spread of culture: infact, now there are a lot of sites such as Wikipedia, or ebooks, that allow everyone to improve their knowledge easily and without spending money. To sum up ,I think that technology is irreplaceable in our lives and it helps a lot every single person in the world in lots of ways.

I can´t live without technology I agree with this statement. Because when It´s boring and no one of my friends have time I surf in the internet or play computergames.Then the time pass faster and sometimes when I play computer or chatting with friends I forget the time. Or when I went to a friend by bus I listen to music everytime and do writing text messages with friends. A mobilephone is very helpful for egsample in a case of an accident you have to phone the emergency. I think without my Ipod,mobilephone and computer I am lost.
My life without technology would be very boring. I think that my computer is one of the most important thing that I have, what I would do without it? When I can't go out and when I have nothing to do, chatting and surfing on web is the only thing I can do to spend my time and it's also a way to keep in contact with my friends, or, why not, to make new friends! And my mobile is very important for me. I like textmessaging and share with my friends everything I do.. and even if I am in a foreign country I can talk with my parents or my friend or I can use my mobile for emercencies. I think if technology didn't exist there would be a lot of restrictions such as no IT lessons ETC.

If one morning I woke up and realised that I couldn't watch my TV anymore, I would scream!!! xD it's not just the tv, I mean all the essential things that I use all the time would be gone which would make my life extremely difficult. If you think about it there would be not a lot of hot food!! It's true because now days we use cookers, microwaves, ovens, electrical kettles ect. but if they didn't exsist, I personally wouldn't spend ages cooking food on a fire.

Also, we use technology in our school which makes it easier to learn and to communicate with teachers. Our projector screens help students who have weaker eye sight (like me xD),as the writing we see can be zoomed in. Another thing is that the students can send their class work and homework through emailing system to teachers without the need to see them face to face. This saves a lot of time, and if suddenly we had to go and give the work TO the teacher- I wouldn't really like to do that all the time. This shows just how much technology is in control of the human race- we simply wouldn't be able to live without it, I know I wouldn't. xDD

ReplyDeleteTechnology is a big help to everyone and makes life in the world we live today much easier, this is why I agree with the above statement.
Technology is there to help me and everyone including teachers and families.
It helps me as it wakes me up for school as I use my phone as my alarm. If I didn’t have my phone for this purpose I would wake up extremely late for school and get detentions as well as miss out on education and get my parents in trouble with the government with my punctuality.
I also use it for my purpose as it’s my main source of entertainment. When you’re not studying or doing your homework and you want to relax, technology is the main source of entertainment. You can go on social networking sites (facebook, myspace, twitter) on the internet, watch different shows on TV or talk to your friends (texting, instant messaging and phone calls). I have a blackberry and they are one of the most addictive things ever. When my mum took it away for a week, I found that I had nothing much to do with my leisure time as I formed such a strong bond with it, so I slept when there was nothing on TV. This is bad but the truth is I wouldn’t be able to live long with out it.
Other than my personal entertainment, technology also helps teachers, workers and students. In school, technology makes learning funnier, easier and more detailed. This is as we use visualises, and computers in almost every lesson. Visualises make the work bigger to read and makes the image larger so the whole class can see it clearly. The internet also helps teachers as they use the internet as a resource to get information from online, show videos and images (youtube/google images), this is better for us students as its more interesting than learning from the book and it makes teachers life easier without having to constantly change their broken markers to write on the white board.
If you was to look at your life and count the amount of times you have used anything to do with technology you will realise the number is huge. Without technology, your life will be harder and slower. We take these things for granted and without them for one day we will appreciate their glory.

I think if I didn’t have technology in my life I literally don’t know how I would survive, especially because ive grown up surrounded with more new and advanced technology. Life would be very different if we didn’t have it, many of us take technology for granted as each and every day there are new and advanced ones created, and in these situations we hardly take time to even think about those who are less fortunate and have no access to the many things we have. I personally think that technology plays a huge role in our lives and even though there are many people who don’t have as much as we do. For developing countries they are trying to exceed in the technology to equal to other wealthy countries, like the United Kingdom!
Also the technology that we have helps our countries economy, so not only do we benefit from it, so does our country, as we have to pay for it in order to access it.
Especially for teenagers our age, technology plays an enormous role, as we have mobile phones, use Facebook, msn to socialise outside of school.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the statement because I can't live without my technology. Technology is everywhere,in our world! We use so much technology in everyday life, that we take it all for granted. From lightbulbs to laptops, technology is everywhere!
On a weekday, the only reason I manage to wake up on time is due to the technology on my phone; my alarms. Then I go the bathroom to have a shower, which is also a part of technology. Then I go and use the toaster and milk from the fridge, while watching TV; which forms an immense part of my life. Once we are at school, we use computers and projectors constantly! After I get home, I turn my laptop on straight away, and it is always on, even if I am not using it! As well as that I have my TV to watch my favourite TV programmes and my phone for texting and listening to music. Other technology I use are; cars, straightners, DVD players, Nintendo Wii, camera, etc. Overall, technology plays a massive part in my life and I wouldn't be able to survive without it!

ReplyDeleteIn my point of view, I agree with the statement above. There are several reasons to why I would agree with this statement and most effect everyday life.
One reason for why I agree with this statement is because through my day I use a number of different technology’s that help me to get by. For example if the 'Phone' wasn’t invented I would have no way of contacting people in different places around the world. If I or anyone else was in a serious emergency and needed to call the police, they would have no way of getting through to them in time to help.
Another reason is that without computers, in lessons it would be much harder to work. If the 'computer' wasn’t invented there would be no way of getting quick information and we would to have to go and find out information on foot. Also there would be ICT lessons. The computer is also another quick way in contacting people, by email. Email is a creation that helps you to send messages to family and friends ECT. Locally and internationally.
There are also some ways the technology has ruined the public. In England technology is a huge part of the public’s everyday life. Now perverts and paedophiles use the internet to track and talk to young girls all over the world. They do this by going on sites like my space and face book.
Overall technology helps the people of the world in everyday life and makes it easier for everyone, and without it our world today would not be the same.

I agree with this statement as I wouldn't be able to survive without technology. Technology is used all around us and sometimes we don't even realise. From the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep nearly everything I use is technology. I wake up and look at my mobile phone. I then go to the bathroom and use my shower. When I go downstairs I turn on the TV and watch my favourite programmes. I might put bread in the toaster or fry eggs on a cooker. At school we use computers and projectors constantly. We have to use the internet all the time for research and homework. When I am home from school I again turn on the TV and then the laptop for entertainment. I might use my Ipod, straightners or hairdryer, DVD player, car, Nintendo Wii or camera. I could go on forever! I know I would never be able to surivive without technology, my world revolves around it. :D

Technology has enabled us to do a lot of things and advance our way of life for example we are now able to send messages to people globally without it taking very long we can do this through email. Our society today is depended on technology whether you are in a third world country or not. In some ways technology has made life better but in other ways has destroy our society.
There are advantages of using technology for example we can do things faster, easier and with less labour. Domestic chores now do not take as much time to do because of technology such as, Hoovers, steamer, washing machines. It also helps with things such as cooking, in the Elizabethan times people would have cooked over a fire, whereas now we have ready made meal that only take 2 minutes to make. It has also led to new ways of saving the world e.g. Wind turbines
On the other hand technology has destroyed our society as it has made people lazy for example instead of walking two meters to the shops people go in the car. In some ways technology has destroyed our spoken language as people are now depended on the computer to correct their grammar and spelling leading to worse handwriting. Technology has also resulted in the release of CO2 contributing toward global warming.
In my opinion I don’t think I can live without technology I think it would make my life much harder than it has to be for example having to work 12 miles to school.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the comment as I think that technology is really important. Technology offers us a lot: travel, entertainment, food, communication and loads more. Since our parents in the ancient days technology has expanded a lot, now we get like a million channels on the television. Without technology I wouldn’t be able to survive as I use technology for very basic activities like getting ready e.g. straighters. I think we take technology for granted as we waste it really easily, e.g. lights, leaving the television on standby etc. I use technology every minute whether it’s the electric toothbrush or the microwave to heat up soup. Our school has advanced technology as we rely on projectors, computers and laptops. There may be a difference between our countries use of technology but that’s what make us unique!

It gives to us everything we need. If we want to know something, we have to look for it on the Internet and, in a few seconds, we will get it. It's perfect for people who don't have enough time to go to a library. Also, it's very comfortable for everybody, so that's the reason why we are getting used to it.
It's true that the Internet may be dangerous if we don't use it in a good way, but we only have to be aware and then, we won't be worried about anything.
In fact, many people think that technology is Internet, and that's not true. Technology includes computers, mobiles phones, MP3 (or 4, or 5...), cameras, etc.
Maybe we can live without them during a week, 2 weeks... a month or two... but, at any time we are going to need them.
Society is, partly, based on technology.
And we have to be proud of that, because we can communicate with each other by technologies. And I'm glad I can speak to all of you because it's a good way to improve English and, the most important thing is that we can keep a friendship for a long time.
I hope we never lose touch; we don't have to do it, Internet gives us an excellent way to communicate :)

I think that technology has a big role in our lives and it find solutions to lots of mankind problems. Just consider our day routine and count all the technological products we use in a day and we will realize the importance of technology. Mobile phones, tv, cars, computers and the Internet are some of the most common products we use everyday and, even if we are getting dependent on technology, they changed our lives in a better way. For example, with mobile phones we can call people from every place in the world, without using telephone boxes, and with a computer we can chat with people from all over the world and we can see them too, thanks to webcams, and information can be sent to the whole world in few seconds and aren’t necessary lots of days as in the past. So, Internet helped a lot in the transmission of information and also in the spread of culture: infact, now there are a lot of sites such as Wikipedia, or ebooks, that allow everyone to improve their knowledge easily and without spending money. To sum up ,I think that technology is irreplaceable in our lives and it helps a lot every single person in the world in lots of ways.

ReplyDeleteI think technology is vitally important for everybody.I wouldn't be able to live without technology.It makes our life easier than usual.For example communication,transportation,health etc.. We are so lucky because life was severe without technology.But now not! Technology has advantages and disadvantages.I can chat with my Spanish student who stayed with me and my family when they came to Turkey thanks to technology.And I can shop on internet,talk with my foreign friends.On the other hand technology has disadvantages too.There can be misunderstanding and fraudulence.And some people getting anti-social because of technology.

Not only my computer but my IPOD are also important for me. I like receiving messages. Because when It´s boring and no one of my friends have time I surf in the internet or play computergames.Then the time pass faster and sometimes when I play computer or chatting with friends I forget the time.
Or when I went to a friend by bus I listen to music everytime and do writing text messages with friends. A mobilephone is very helpful for egsample in a case of an accident you have to phone the emergency.
I think without my Ipod,mobilephone and computer I am lost.
My life without technology would be very boring. I think that my computer is one of the most important thing that I have, what I would do without it? When I can't go out and when I have nothing to do, chatting and surfing on web is the only thing I can do to spend my time and it's also a way to keep in contact with my friends, or, why not, to make new friends! And my mobile is very important for me. I like textmessaging and share with my friends everything I do.. and even if I am in a foreign country I can talk with my parents or my friend or I can use my mobile for emercencies. Another object without I can't live is my iPod.. my iPod is my music, my moment of relax and thinking. Pc, iPod, mobile and technology have a great role in our lives! So, I agree with this statement!! ;)
